Over Rs 12,000 crore approved for Swachch Bharat: FM



Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday also said that Rs 3.6 lakh crore have been approved for Jal Jeevan Mission, which seeks to provide Functional Household Tap Connection to every rural household by 2024.

Water to all households will need Rs 70,000 cr a year



‘The Jal Jeevan Mission would require services ranging from groundwater recharge, pumping, small-scale water treatment facilities, piping, metering for flow/usage measurement, and most importantly, training and communication of local communities, and social and environmental audit of projects.
